FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about ORTACTICAL OEM/ODM manufacturing, materials, shipping, and payment.
Where is ORTACTICAL located?
ORTACTICAL is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, where our production facility operates. Manufacturing is based in Thailand with a production line dedicated to tactical gear, offering an accessible location for US, EU, and Asia-Pacific customers.
What is your MOQ for OEM orders?
Our MOQ starts from 50 pieces per SKU for OEM orders. Smaller trial runs may be arranged for first-time or small-batch clients, especially for samples and prototyping.
How does the OEM/ODM manufacturing process work?
The process is: 1) Submit your design, drawings, or reference product. 2) We provide a feasibility review and quotation. 3) We build and approve a prototype. 4) Bulk production runs and quality inspection. 5) Shipping worldwide.
What types of tactical gear can you manufacture?
We manufacture plate carriers, battle belts, MOLLE pouches, chest rigs, duty gear, tactical vests, soft armor, custom patches, pouches, and a wide range of tactical accessories in bulk.
What materials do you use?
We use 500D/1000D Cordura nylon, laser-cut laminate, military-grade webbing, YKK zippers, and NIJ-compatible ballistic options. Custom materials can be sourced per project.
Can you make custom plate carriers and battle belts?
Yes. Plate carriers, battle belts, MOLLE pouches, chest rigs, and duty gear are core product categories. We can tailor sizes, colors, and features to your spec sheet.
Do you offer private label or custom branding?
Yes — custom logo patches, woven tags, hang labels, custom packaging, and color-matched branding for your own brand.
Do you have NIJ or MIL-SPEC certifications?
Our Thailand facility meets MIL-SPEC standards, and ballistic materials are sourced from NIJ-compatible certified suppliers. Documentation can be provided for qualifying projects.
How long does OEM production take (lead time)?
Prototype turnaround is 7–10 business days. Bulk production after prototype approval takes 45–60 days depending on order size and line availability.
How do I get a quote?
Submit your design files or specs through our contact form. We provide a detailed quotation and feasibility review within 48 hours.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer (T/T), PayPal, and secure online payment for qualified orders. Payment terms can be discussed for repeat and large-volume clients.
Do you offer samples or prototypes before a bulk order?
Yes. We strongly recommend a prototype run before bulk production. Prototype fees apply and are typically credited against your first bulk order.
What shipping methods do you use — do you ship worldwide?
We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, UPS, air freight, and sea freight. The optimal method depends on order volume, destination, and delivery timeline.
Who is responsible for shipping costs and import duties?
Shipping costs are quoted per destination. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in the quotation.
Can you help with packaging and product design?
Yes. We assist with packaging, labels, hang cards, and structural design guidance. For full ODM projects we can develop the design from concept to shelf-ready product.
What is the minimum for non-OEM wholesale orders?
Wholesale (stock-product) orders typically start around 100 pieces per model. OEM custom orders start from 50 pieces per SKU.
Can you produce for government, military, or law enforcement clients?
Yes. We supply military and law-enforcement contracts and can accommodate special certifications, technical documentation, and procurement requirements.
Do you offer dropshipping or fulfillment services?
For approved wholesale partners we can arrange batch fulfillment and, in some cases, direct ship programs. Contact us with your projected volume.
Can you source materials, or must we provide them?
We source the majority of materials ourselves for consistency and quality. If you require specific proprietary materials, we can accommodate client-supplied inputs by arrangement.
What is your quality control process?
Every production batch goes through in-line inspection, final QC checks, and random sampling before packing. Standards include stitch density, material verification, and function testing.
Do you work with small brands or new startups?
Yes — we frequently support small and emerging brands with low MOQs, flexible trial runs, and hands-on product development from the first sample.
What warranty or after-sales support do you provide?
We provide after-sales support on production defects and stand behind manufacturing quality. Warranty terms are established in the purchase agreement.
